Colorado ski season usually opens in November, with Beaver Creek typically opening its lifts from mid-November into early December depending on snow. Always check the official resort website for this winter’s exact opening day, lift hours and conditions.

DIA or Eagle County Airport?

Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) is only about 20 to 25 minutes from Edwards and Beaver Creek. Denver International Airport has more flights and often lower fares, but it is about 2 to 2.5 hours away on I-70.

Getting From DIA to Beaver Creek

Most visitors fly into Denver International Airport. The drive to Beaver Creek is about 2 to 2.5 hours in good weather, but winter storms, Colorado’s traction and chain laws and Friday and Sunday ski traffic on I-70 can add hours.
